With 25 years of investment in the EPC & LSTK sector, Nuberg EPC has developed the habit of setting and improving benchmarks in the industry. We are amongst the world's fastest-growing EPC organizations with a specialized team of more than three hundred engineers providing global competitiveness.
Our vision is to continually add value to our clients by offering large-scale industrial projects in a very cost-effective manner and with best-in-class quality. With over 60+Greenfield project executions for industries like Chemicals and Fertilizers, Energy & infrastructure, Steel, Nuclear and Defence and zero accident in our history so far, we hold a global experience to provide safe, reliable, and timely delivery of industrial plants.
Nuberg EPC today is globally recognized as the number one player in EPC for Hydrogen Peroxide and Calcium Chloride. We are also identified as the number two EPC Company for Caustic Soda / Chloro-Alkali plants globally. Our clients include Al Ghaith Industries (Abu Dhabi), Inovyn (Sweden), Fluoder (Paraguay), Addar (Saudi Arabia), Gulf Chlorine (Qatar), Union Chlorine (Abu Dhabi), Dostel (Turkey), Samuda Chemical Complex (Bangladesh), Agrochem (Egypt), Sarl Sasko (Algeria), Amassas Co. (Ethiopia), Aditya Birla Chemicals (India), SCE Chemicals (Morocco), NCIC(Egypt), TCI Sanmar (Egypt), and Oman Chlorine (Oman).
When we began our journey as an independent company in 1996, it was with much courage and a burning desire to chart our own course. I had my degree in Chemical Engineering and work experience of 8 years in private sector as the foundation. The first few projects were for PSA Nitrogen Gas plants in association with a global technology licensor. Then we got the opportunity to set up the first Caustic Soda plant in Bangladesh on EPC-LSTK basis. The project was interesting and full of learnings as it involved the relocation of the plant from UK to Bangladesh. This subsequently led to fifteen Greenfield projects in Bangladesh. It also set the ball rolling for core set of learnings and domain expertise that went on to define Nuberg EPC and our roadmap to success.
Lesson learnt, opportunity spotted, vision created
This experience of inter-country planning and execution on EPC-LSTK got us on the path of chosen destiny. We learnt the need for mastering of local and international laws regulations, norms, and expectations for key geographies. We also understood the value that a talented engineering strength brought to the table despite the high initial cost. The Indian focus on maximising resources and impact at minimal costs showed us the way to profitability. We also understood the prohibitive cost of technology when licenced from others.
We additionally imbibed the habit of doubling down on domain expertise to create global leadership. Most importantly, we vowed to only work on EPC-LSTK projects.
Core strengths developed
Our drives to continually build on the lessons learnt has resulted in significant core strengths that give us an unparalleled advantage globally.
Our global experience of operating in more than thirty countries has made us adept with laws, statutory requirements, and societal norms across geographical diversities.
We have more than three hundred engineers with 300,000-person hour of skills available. This is towards the higher side of engineering strength vs revenue ratio for the EPC industry.
We have launched our own R&D facility in Sweden, EB Nuberg that intends to contribute with innovative technology for specialty chemicals. It makes me proud to share that we have patented technology for hydrogen peroxide. We are thus amongst the very few Global Technological Licensers of Hydrogen Peroxide technology. We are also the Global Technological Licenser for sulphuric acid plants.
We also have our manufacturing division that produces Pressure Vessels, Reactors, Heat Exchangers, Columns & Towers, and Tanks. We own an 115,000 sqm manufacturing plant in Gujarat, which manufactures large industrial equipment and machinery that caters to the EPC projects as part of Nuberg EPC. We cater to numerous international as well as large Indian clients such as big PSUs and private companies.
We hold world-class certifications such as ASME U2 certification, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, ISO 18001:2007, and ISO 9001:2015 certification, and NSIC 9001:2008 certification to ensure quality processes and International standards.
We are continually incorporating the latest in digital technologies and work processes. This includes IoT-enabled monitoring and maintenance of projects and commissioned plants, Big Data for smarter design and inspections, AI-driven intelligent automation, AR and VR for superior safety, communication, and training, and 3D software for accuracy in delivery.
In the last 25 years, some of the projects have been milestone events - these include:
- Caustic Soda Project in Bangladesh in 2000
- Sulphuric Acid Project in Egypt in 2006
- Specialty Chemicals Project in Saudi Arabia in 2007
- Chemical Complex Project in Abu Dhabi in 2013
